Meals on Wheels is a volunteer-based community support service which delivers nutritious meals to individuals to help them maintain their health and independence at home. This service is offered on both a short-term and long-term basis.

Hot meals are prepared by eight different kitchens located throughout the city and delivered by friendly trained volunteers over the noon hour Monday through Saturday. Meal service can be arranged for long-term or for a short-term period while recovering from illness or when family is away. Volunteers provide a short visit and a daily safety check.
The frozen meal program has become a popular alternative or supplement to the traditional hot meal delivery. Frozen meals are prepared by our frozen food suppliers, Apetito and TimeSaver, and are delivered in bulk weekly.
The first delivery of frozen meals was made on April 25th, 1991.
