The hot meal program offers an appetizing variety of meals consisting of a soup, a entrée, fresh fruit or salad, and a dessert. Diabetic desserts are available. Our partner kitchens can also accommodate some food allergies.

Please see below the menus for hot meals for our kitchen partners for the month of October. If you are not sure from which kitchen you get your hot meals, you can call us and we can confirm with you. Please note, we may switch you from one kitchen to another without notice. A kitchen may also prepare something different than what they had planned. If a kitchen offers two choices to their residents, we do not know which meal will be served to Meals on Wheels clients and you cannot choose which meal you get. Meals can change without notice.
Menus for Hot meals for the Month of November 2020
The hot meals are delivered Mondays to Saturdays, over the noon hour.
Clients can choose which day(s) they want hot meals delivered. Ex. they can have meals delivered Mondays through Saturdays, or select days of the week. There is no minimum requirement – it’s flexible!
The cost per meal is $7.10*. This includes a soup, an entrée, fresh fruit or salad, and a dessert.
Clients are billed monthly. Payment options include cheques, money orders, e-transfers, VISA or MasterCard. Cash is also accepted at our office. Automatic withdrawals can also be arranged.

In the Fall of 1968, Island Lodge (now Garry J. Armstrong Centre) offered to provide 24 meals each day and now has the distinction of being the longest serving meal provider.
