How it Works

Our volunteer department staff will work with your organization to find a weekly delivery route that will be managed by your team.

An appointed leader amongst your corporate delivery team acts as liaison with Meals on Wheels staff to create a rotating schedule of volunteers from your organization.

Your team leader will ensure that a member of your team is scheduled weekly between 11:00am and 1:30 pm for your delivery route.

Benefits of Corporate Volunteering:

According to Jessica Rodell for the Harvard Business Review, “Many studies have shown that volunteer programs boost productivity, increase employee engagement, and improve hiring and retention.”

Volunteering for Meals on Wheels provides an excellent opportunity to give back to the community and make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals. By supporting this initiative, organizations can foster a culture of social responsibility and demonstrate their commitment to addressing food insecurity, particularly among seniors and individuals with limited mobility.

Corporate Volunteering also offers employees a chance to engage in team-building activities, develop a sense of pride in their work, and connect with the Ottawa community. Moreover, it can enhance your organization’s reputation as a compassionate and socially responsible organization, ultimately benefiting both the community and the business.
